Baby's First Dinnerware
When the daughter of a Royal Doulton factory manager drew scenes of an idyllic family of bunnies, little did she know these whimsical characters would grace tables around the world some 70 years later. Despite all appearances, and the enduring popularity of Bunnykins, the original artist, Mary Barbara Bailey was not a professional illustrator, but a nun from a nearby abbey. Her drawings however, capture the innocence and magic of childhood, and reflect the charm of English village life - a quality that quickly elevated a few carefree sketches into the world's best-selling nurseryware. This collection features the Bunnykins family beautifully rendered across a range of fine bone china bowls, plates, mugs and gift sets. Precious keepsakes for little hands.
