DIY CHALKBOARD EGGS

A quick and easy Easter craft activity for the kids!

With the Easter long-weekend almost upon us, we went in search for a fun and fuss-free activity to keep the kids entertained. Online Easter craft is in abundance, but we had strict criteria to meet: we wanted something fun and funky and, most importantly, something that resulted in as little mess as possible for Mum and Dad!

Chalkboard Eggs

What you’ll need:
Chalkboard paint
Variety of chalk
Paintbrushes
Eggs – we used papier mache eggs from Lincraft to eliminate time and delicate work. You can purchase them in packs of four and they’re ready to go with a quick coat of paint. If you prefer, you can use blown out eggs, too.

Follow chalkboard paint instructions and, when dry, let the little ones get to work on decorating their own chalkboard eggs!

IDEA!
Utilise the chalkboard egg as an alternate place card setting at your Easter feast.
